AVAILABLE ROOMS AND SIZES

Downstairs in the Aviary Room

AVIARY ROOM
This room is on the main floor, at the west side of the building. It is a closed-off room for 22 seated and has a maximum capacity of 30 people for a mingle event. There is a screen available if needed at no charge, however we do not have an audio visual system thus you would have to supply your own.

 

Upstairs in the Assize Room

ASSIZE ROOM
Large space on the second floor of the restaurant with a maximum seated capacity of 40 people and a maximum mingle event of 70. This room has a bar that can be included for your event. There are also 2 washrooms for your group. We do have 2 TVs both with HDMI ports, if your group needs to do a presentation. Please bring your own HDMI hook-ups for your devices. (*Note: no elevator).

FEES & MINIMUM SPENDS

Fees
For a private party we do not have a room charge; however, we do charge for a room set-up fee of $50

We hold private rooms for a 3-hour duration. If you require additional time please let us know as we do have a $200 per hour charge for extra time.

We do have a minimum spend for rooms
Minimum spends are inclusive of food and drink, not tax and gratuities. In other words, your party must spend the minimum or your party will be charged the minimum.

Final numbers/guest count
A final guaranteed number of people attending is required 72 hours prior to your function. Final charges will be based on the guaranteed number of guests. For any shortfall of the guaranteed number, a $25 charge/person will be applied to the final bill.

An event booking is for FOOD AND DRINK
We have had past requests for beverage service only, and sadly we cannot accommodate this.  Food must be part of the venue.

STEP 1: HOW TO BOOK

We get a number of email requests and the best way for us to PROMPTLY get back to you is for you to provide us with as MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE. We require EXACT dates, times, party numbers, versus “general inquiry” emails. We prefer email communication to ensure a detailed record of event planning to optimize the best event for you.

Introduce yourself in an email at contactusatbb@gmail.com and provide the following details:
-Date and time for your event
-Group size
-Type of event (Engagement Party, Rehearsal, Birthday, Celebration of Life etc.)
-Phone number

Please add any additional details you have in mind about the menu (e.g. food restrictions) or any ideas on what you need for this to be the event you dream of.

*We understand that you may not have all the details at first.

STEP 2: HOW TO SECURE YOUR BOOKING

To book one of our spaces, we require a $10/person deposit to be paid through INTERAC E-TRANSFER to contactusatbb@gmail.com*

*(Please make note the DATE and RESERVATION NAME in the comments).

If you would like to pay by credit card, we would ask you to come IN PERSON, during regular business hours.

We will follow up with a confirmation email. This deposit is fully refunded from your final bill at the time of your event.

13% HST and 20% gratuity is added to final cost*

CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES

Your initial deposit is refundable up to 5 days before the booking.

If cancellation does not occur 5 days prior to the booking, you will forfeit the deposit.

This includes changes in guest count. You will be charged for the original agreed upon guests. For example: booked for 20 guests and only 18 have arrived, you will be charged for the original 20.


 

EVENT FOOD

Depending on the size of your event, you have various event food options, and we have illustrated them below.

For guests of 20 or more, we ask that you pre-select either a mini menu option (‘selection menu’) or family style package below.

Menu and beer/wine selections are required 14 days prior to your event.

If we are not notified of your choice, we will assist you by automatically selecting a menu for you.

Customized event menus will be provided to you and your guests upon arrival. Your server(s) will come around to take individual orders.

À LA CARTE (up to 18 guests)

You may order off the menu for parties up to 20 guests.

SELECTION MENU (over 18 guests)

For over 20 guests, you may create your own SELECTION MENU from our current menu (2 choices of appetizers and 3 entrées and dessert if needed ). We will print your customized menus for your guests to choose from on the day of the event.

NOTE: re SELECTION MENUS
We do ask for menus to be confirmed 2 WEEKS before your event. Please email contactusatbb@gmail.com. We will then have a function sheet sent back to you to confirm all details.

If you are looking for a price per person we can do that for you or it can be à la carte pricing (which is usually the better way to go).

Yes, we can have an extra entree added to the menu for vegetarian and gluten intolerances.

FAMILY STYLE PACKAGES (over 20 guests)

We have three Family Style Package options.

This is served at your table if you wanted to sit down. If you are looking for a stand and mingle event, we will have these placed at food stations throughout the room, so your guests may help themselves.

If you want to create your own family style menu you are welcome to. For this, you could pre-order a selection of pizzas and appetizers off our regular menu and the amounts you would like. We will have that ready for you on the day of the function.

    You are welcome to bring in your own dessert in however we do have a surcharge of $2 per person fee, for any brought in dessert.

Gluten Free substitutions for packages
In lieu of pizzas, we can do gluten free “pizza buns” and we have gluten free slider buns available.

FAQS

Can I bring my own decor? Yes you may! However we cannot hang anything on the walls due to possible paint damage. No table confetti please.

Will you set up our decor for us? No, sorry we are unable to staff for décor. However the room will be tidy, ready and organized for your guests. We can suggest a layout for your event as well.

Can I store my flowers in your fridge? Yes, during business hours you may drop off your flowers the day of/day before.

Do you have music? We are unable to change the music in your room because it is the same system within the restaurant.

Can we bring our own speaker and music? No, it will disrupt the other guests.

Do you have a T.V.? Yes, however you will have to bring your own HDMI hook-ups. This is not available in the Aviary.

Do you have a display screen for meeting presentations? Yes, in the Aviary with a maximum capacity of 20. (Note, see above).

Can you make us a cake? No, however feel free to bring your own in but there is a $2/person dessert fee.

Do you have an event planner on staff? No, however we can help you with food, drink, space and service.
